My professional experience is in holding
executive level positions in nonprofit organizations, specializing in
the areas of Financial Management, Administration and Human Resources.
During my career, I have had complete responsibility for
all financial areas in the organizations for which I have worked, including:
monthly financial statements, creation of annual budget, grants administration,
yearly audit, business planning, tax filings, investments, endowments,
general accounting, payroll, supervision of accounting staff, and leadership
in all other typical nonprofit financial matters. I have also had complete
human resources responsibilities, including: hiring and firing, benefits
administration, compliance with current employment laws, and leadership
in all other customary human resource issues.
In 2005 I opened my own nonprofit consulting firm. From 2001-2005, I held
the position of Director of Finance and Operations at the California
Historical Society. Previously I held the positions of Director of
Administration and Finance at the public-interest law firm, Public Advocates,
and the same position at the public-interest law firm, The Public Interest
Law Offices.
